As part of the Seed2STEM project, the Zagreb University of Applied Sciences (TVZ) continues to innovate in the field of STEM education for young people. The TVZ project team, composed of enthusiastic experts, is dedicated to enhancing the functionality of the incubator used for educational purposes. 📚🔬
Acquired Equipment and Its Application
In April, the project was enriched with various components and consumables. With these additions, the incubator is gradually taking its final functional and aesthetic form. ⚙️✨
Specifically, CR1225 batteries were purchased to power the incubator’s RTC module, as well as bulb sockets that serve as 25W heaters within the incubator. These components allow precise temperature control inside the incubator, which is crucial for the successful development of STEM projects. 🌡️💡
We also paid special attention to visual signals within the incubator and acquired WS2813 RGB LED modules. These modules are located on the incubator housing and signal different program states, making it easier to monitor the device’s operation. Additionally, shorter (50mm) Groove-compatible cables make it easier to connect modules that are close to each other. 💡🌈
Incubator Construction Process
The images show several stages of the incubator’s construction. Displayed are the components before assembly, the partially assembled incubator, the finished device with the housing mounted, and the incubator within the protective box ready for use. 🛠️📸
The incubator is now nearing completion, with finalization and testing to follow. This progress will enable young people to better understand and apply STEM knowledge in practice. With the new equipment, the incubator is now an even more functional and reliable educational tool. We look forward to continuing our work on the project and further innovations that will contribute to the development of STEM education. 🚀🎓
